Other Restriction of Use

Do not plant any crop other than turfgrass species for 18 months after the last application of Tenacity or injury may occur.
Do not apply an organophosphate or carbamate insecticide within seven days of a Tenacity application as turf injury may occur.
Do not apply through any type of irrigation system.
Do not use aerial application to apply Tenacity.
Do not use grass clippings from treated turf as mulch around trees or in vegetable/flower gardens.

Tank mix preparation

Make sure the sprayer is clean and set to give an even application at the correct volume and an even deposit.

Implementation particular terms

Always use constant agitation of the sprayer tank during mixing, transportation and application.

Mixing and spraying

Fill the spray tank 1/4 full with clean water.
Start agitation and check to ensure it is working properly.
Add Tenacity directly into the tank.
Add the rest of the carrier to obtain the final spray volume.
Maintain vigorous agitation in the spray tank before and during the application.
This will ensure a well-mixed spray suspension.
Do not allow spray suspension to dry in the tank.
Thoroughly clean the sprayer after use by flushing the system with water containing a detergent.
Refer to the Pesticide Disposal section of this label for waste disposal.

Tenacity doesn’t just control emerged crabgrass, but the residual activity helps prevent additional crabgrass from emerging.

  • Tenacity is a systemic pre mergence and post emergence herbicide for the selective contact and residual control of weeds in turf grass. When applied pre-emergence, weeds absorb Tenacity during emergence from soil. Dry condition following application may reduce the pre emergence activity.
